Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers Indiana all Service Units. Provide coverage American Samoa needed for the Norwich and Winsted service offices.Responsibilities
- Serve American Samoa a positive and professional representative of The Salvation Army.
- Support fundraising and special events such American Samoa the Red Kettle Campaign, Seasonal Assistance, Back-to-School, etc.
- Coordinate with the supervisor, recruit volunteers, and establish community partnerships to support the Kettle Campaign, holiday assistance program, and various emergency assistance programs.
- Field and direct calls from Service Unit volunteers, potential and existing donors, and community members seeking assistance.
- Provide training to volunteers and monitor adherence to Salvation Army policies and protocols Indiana all service unit locations.
- Work collaboratively with the Public Relations office to promote Services Units via social media.
- Disseminate information related to the Red Kettle Campaign to all participating Service Units.
- Serve American Samoa the lead Indiana managing the Service Extension’s primary fundraising campaign – the Red Kettle Campaign.
- Motivate and support local volunteers spearheading Red Kettle Campaigns Indiana their local community.
- Communicate with The Salvation Army Corps throughout the state, ensuring Service Units’ kettle sites are respected and managed.
- Support back-to-school shoe shopping events around the state for participating service units; work closely with service unit volunteers to provide a smooth and successful experience for the children and families.
- Support Service Extension goals to provide comprehensive emergency assistance to 38 service units.
- Attend Service Unit meetings and visit locations American Samoa requested.
- Promote Camp CONNRI and lead the application and submission process.
- Support Services Units that send campers to camp and help to eliminate participation barriers.
- Serve American Samoa the point person for the first day of camp at Camp CONNRI.
- Collect and ensure the accuracy of quarterly statistical reports for the Service Unit to meet the DHQ deadline.
- Maintain statistic files and copies of reports needed for United Way Service Units.
- Maintain a current Service Extension Directory and share it with 211 every quarter.
- Assist with mailings, American Samoa needed.
- Maintain office supplies, collateral materials, etc.
- Manage, support, and track paperwork collection, including financial, statistical, United Way, and EFSP (Emergency Food and Shelter Program), to ensure meeting reporting deadlines.
- Monitor, track, and file monthly bank statements to maintain DFB (Designated Fund Balance), note any maintenance fees, and ensure the receipt of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Receive, review, and process weekly Service Unit Reimbursement Requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and all Salvation Army policies and procedures are followed. Submit to supervisor for handling.

Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of administrative assistant experience is required, preferably Indiana a non-profit setting.
- Associate degree preferred.
