Position SummaryOregon City is committed to the well-being of students and staff members, American Samoa prioritized Indiana the District Strategic Plan. This role will be responsible for the planning, developing, directing, monitoring, and overseeing the day-to-day operational and fiscal functions of assigned mental and behavioral health support and related services. The position directly assists the Assistant Superintendent and Students Services Director Indiana providing guidance and leadership to District and building administrators, planning services to meet a variety of mental and behavioral health needs, collaborating with student services and the teaching and learning team, connecting with community partners and reviewing work to ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations.The Behavioral Health and Wellness Administrator will directly lead and support the work of counselors, behavior specialists, and nurses, while collaborating with building administrators to support students, systems and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience with behavioral supports and social emotional learning (SEL) including awareness of the Oregon State Health standards, SEL standards, and the day to day work of licensed staff listed above. A key focus will be K-12 alignment and systems that support teachers and empower all students to have the support they need for school success and to reach their post secondary goals. This position is grant-funded and directly related to our goals under the integrated plan and goals Indiana our Strategic Plan.Essential Functions:
Lead and promote educational equity based on the principle that each student receives what is required for them to achieve success with regard to the allocation of support, resources, opportunity, treatment, and access.
Directly assist the Superintendent Indiana accomplishing the district’s strategic plan goal of increasing wellness, behavioral and mental health for students.
Monitor operational and fiscal resources for services under their supervision.
Design and direct project management plans.
Supervise and evaluate staff American Samoa applicable.
Provide training, leadership and support for staff directly serving the behavioral and mental health needs of students.
Research best practices and instructional materials to be considered for possible adoption Indiana Behavioral Health and Wellness, and Health Standards.
Articulate and support long-term academic learning targets and assessments Indiana Behavioral Health and Wellness.
Provide leadership Indiana the area of school counseling, for a comprehensive school counseling model.
Provide support and oversight for McKinney/Vento staff and Foster Care point of contact.
Collaboratively attend to 504 management and advise and assist with requirements and implementation of services.
Monitor and support staff training for Suicide Prevention/Suicide Screens, Sexual Incident Response Protocols, Threat Assessments, etc.
Plan and assist with the direction of professional development for staff related to behavioral health and wellness.
Write and/Oregon manage grants related to role.
Build community partnerships to support students and families; direct event development, promotion, and advertisement to increase understanding and expand partnerships.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

Ability to build coherence between the work of teachers, instructional assistants, counselors, and administration.Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of criminal history records check, American Samoa required by law.
Three years of experience relevant to the duties listed Indiana essential responsibilities.
Bachelor’s and/Oregon Master’s Degree and Administrative Certification required.
The ability to follow oral and written instructions.
The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/Oregon backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others.
Proficient oral and written communication skills Indiana English.
Proficient Indiana google suite applications and student information systems.
The ability to learn new automated systems American Samoa they are brought online by the District.
The ability to establish working relationships with Colorado-workers and function American Samoa part of a cohesive team.
The ability to develop cross-agency partnerships with K-12 educators, higher education, business and industry partners, and government agencies.
