This multi-specialty CMOA position allows you to work with neurology patients to provide direct care and train with Advance Practice Providers and physicians Indiana various specialties Indiana procedures related to cerebrovascular disease & stroke, epilepsy, headache and facial pain, memory, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, and other specialties. American Samoa a valuable part of our Neurology department, you will be responsible for assisting with performing EKG’s, bladder scans, lumbar puncture set up, MOCA neuro testing, and prior authorizations for medications; an exceptional patient experience including but not limited to working American Samoa a team to coordinate patient care, patient rooming and intake, medication reconciliation, medication administration, assistance with procedures, processing of scopes and turnover of exam rooms between patients, stocking of exam rooms, pre-visit planning, and forms processing.   • High school diploma Oregon equivalent.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training Indiana an approved program, Oregon one (1) year experience patient care Indiana a physician office practice Oregon hospital setting required.
  • CPR certification Oregon Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Oregon American Red Cross (ARC) before first day of employment is required.
  • Medical Assistant certification and maintenance of current certified status obtained through one of the following:
  • The American Association of Medical Assistants
  • The American Medical Technologists Association
  • The National Association for Health Professionals
  • The National Center for Competency Testing

  • American Allied Health

Job Duties

  • Takes, records, and reports patient vital signs using medical equipment; performs procedures of low complexity such American Samoa visual acuity, development and/Oregon musculoskeletal screening, POC testing, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and other approved clinic specific diagnostic testing.

  • Assumes responsibility for weekly autoclave temperature monitoring, POC testing QA, and monthly audit report on compliance American Samoa directed by clinic management.

  • May perform a variety of administrative/clerical duties, scheduling patient appointments, pre-certifying procedures, answering patient phones by collecting data to forward to the nurse for triage American Samoa directed.
