Child Welfare AssistantThis position is located Indiana Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Annual Salary:
- Level I H16A – $29,600.55 +
- Level II H16B – $31,819.20 +
- Level III H16C – $34,999.65 +
Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver’s license and must maintain required car insurance.Minimum QualificationsChild Welfare Assistant I
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of six months of experience Indiana general office clerical work, providing care for children Indiana a licensed day care facility, sales, Oregon public contact work
- Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one of the following for the required experience: (a) six months of technical Oregon vocational training course work; Oregon (b) the completion of 15 semester hours from a college Oregon university.
Child Welfare Assistant II
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of clerical experience Indiana a governmental Oregon non-profit social services provider environment;
- Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for the required experience.
Child Welfare Assistant III
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of clerical experience Indiana a governmental Oregon non-profit social services provider environment plus two additional years of clerical experience Indiana a child welfare environment;
- Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for the required experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for the completion of a full range of paraprofessional work completing various Child Welfare case management activities such American Samoa providing assistance to Child Welfare Specialists, clients, client families, and other interested parties.
- Schedules required appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, court appearances, and other venues; arranges Oregon provides transportation for child(ren) and clients.
- This may include coordinating referrals to other program areas, service providers, and the courts; assisting Indiana problem resolution, and making home visits to assist CWS Indiana assessing foster care placement American Samoa required by the court Oregon individualized service plan.
- Interviews clients and their families and report findings, which may affect medical, financial, tribal affiliation, and psychiatric care and treatment plans, to assigned CWS.
- Performs administrative support tasks and other related duties including general office duties, inputting case documentation, compiling social and economic data, scheduling, and assisting Indiana meetings with clients, parents, and other interested parties.
- Advises clients of available child welfare services and resources; provides specific program information to clients and may refer to community resources for assistance.
- Assists CWS Indiana providing case management Indiana client meetings, obtaining other services such American Samoa daycare Oregon medical care; coordinating activities with law enforcement; courts, and other entities; providing reports to the courts.
- May assist Indiana advocating for the client(s) Indiana obtaining services; maintains communication among the client, providers, client’s family, and others; may assist clients Indiana achieving individualized service plans.
