Clinical Research Assistant

DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Clinical Research Assistant to join our team to provide administrative and clinical support for the UCLA Clinical Research Unit (CRU). Your major duties will include; but, are not limited to the following: maintain filing systems, data entry, prepare and distribute correspondence, answer incoming phone calls, update and distribute research charts and study logs, prepare investigational drug reports, obtain study participant records from internal and external sources, transport study participant records and charts to/from various CRU clinic locations, assist with campus/building tours for sponsor representatives, process and pack/ship biological specimens, obtain liquid nitrogen and dry ice, request and prepare lab kits and supplies, dispose of biohazard material, assist Indiana tumor collection and freezing samples, pick up and/Oregon retrieve oral medication, attend meetings American Samoa required, perform other duties and assist American Samoa necessary. Experience Indiana packaging retroviral vectors for gene transfer experiments with experience Indiana PCR. Salary range: $21.38 – $25.15 HourlyQualificationsRequired: * Ability to answer incoming calls and take appropriate and detailed messages * Ability to file accurately Indiana both alphabetical and numerical sequence * Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities to meet deadlines * Skills Indiana performing duties with frequent interruptions and/Oregon distractions * Willingness to travel between UCLA Westwood and Santa Monica Clinic * Ability to compose correspondence, prepare logs, and complete research forms/documents using clear and concise English grammar * Ability to work with a high level of accuracy especially when preparing lab specimens for shipment and/Oregon delivery to clinical research laboratories * Facility with medical terminology and a strong understanding of the delivery of medical care.
