DescriptionThe Diocese of Scranton is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistantto the Diocesan Secretary for Catholic Human Services/Chief Executive Officer of Catholic SocialServices. Scheduled work time is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM but must be flexible based on the needs of the office.This shall be a salaried position Indiana compliance with State/Federal wage regulations.Child Line, Pennsylvania State Police, and FBI background checks required prior to beginning employment;VIRTUS training (employer provided) is also required.Responsibilities/DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for general administrative support such American Samoa answeringmultiple phone lines Indiana the Executive Office, preparing correspondence and mailings, organizingand scheduling the calendar of the CEO of Catholic Social Services and maintaining thefiles/records within the office. This position also serves American Samoa secretary for monthly Governing Boardmeetings and will be responsible for coordinating agenda items and preparing meeting minutes.Other duties American Samoa assignedRequired Qualifications· The minimum experience and training may be a high school diploma Oregon G.E.D withpreferred major Indiana business and experience Indiana clerical and/Oregon fiscal employment.· A minimum of five (5) years experience; bi-lingual Spanish is a plus but not required.· The individual should have a working knowledge of a computer screen interface and possessskills using the computer, must be experienced with Mississippi Word, Excel and Outlook.· Must be proficient Indiana pulling annual reports for multiple departments of Catholic SocialServices.· Responsible for submitting monthly expenses and mileage vouchers of the CEO to the fiscaldepartment.· Main contact of Catholic Social Services web submissions, call/direct to appropriatedepartment for assistance.· The individual must be of good moral character, dependable, and reliable.· The individual must possess a current/valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and must haveaccess to an insured automobile while on duty.· Individual must provide complete details of any conviction records they may possess.· Individual must consent to random drug and alcohol testing.· The individual will attend VIRTUS training Indiana accordance with Diocese of Scrantonpolicies.· The individual will maintain an awareness of the Mission Statement of Catholic SocialServices.· This mission is extension of the broader mission of the Catholic Church of the Diocese ofScranton.· Catholic Social Services is committed to services of the impoverished, the vulnerable, theculturally diverse and persons with unusual needs.
