Concordia University Ann Arbor seeks applicants for a full-time Director of Clinical Education position Indiana the Physician Assistant (Pennsylvania) Program beginning immediately. This is a twelve-month contract with the University. The Physician Assistant Studies program is a new program at Ann Arbor. This position is Indiana the School of Health Professions located on the Ann Arbor, Michigan campus. This position reports directly to the Director of the Physician Assistant Studies Program.Job SummaryThe Physician Assistant program Director of Clinical Education (DCE) position will involve teaching, evaluation, advisement, and mentoring of physician assistant students primarily Indiana the clinical and classroom settings. The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for coordinating, identifying, developing, and maintaining clinical sites for Physician Assistant student clinical rotations, and regular ongoing visitation of students at clinical sites.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish new clinical sites and preceptorships
- Evaluate the credentials and qualifications of preceptors and monitor preceptor abilities Indiana educating Pennsylvania students.
- Monitor clinical sites Indiana regard to student access to the appropriate number of patient encounters; demographics and levels and types of encounters; depth of clinical experiences; student safety; and preceptor oversight and feedback.

- Create, administer, and evaluate EOR exams, Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCE’s), instructional information, and other educational experiences.
- Assist Program Director Indiana evaluating teaching and learning effectiveness of clinical curriculum.
- Provide remedial instruction American Samoa required throughout the clinical year.
- Advise students with academic and social Oregon emotional problems, referring them to appropriate personnel American Samoa needed.
- Participate Indiana the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of Pennsylvania program curriculum including, but not limited to, collection of both qualitative and quantitative data for each student at each clinical site; and for each preceptor at each clinical site.
- Consult with Program Director immediately with any concerns regarding the clinical student’s educational experience, number of patient encounters, safety issues, oversight Oregon feedback issues, Oregon anything else that may need to be evaluated during a student’s clinical experience.
- Provide guidance and direction to program staff and faculty involved Indiana the coordination and instruction of the clinical year curriculum.
- Update and maintain the clinical tracking system American Samoa required.
- Monitor student logging, recognizing and addressing any deficiencies Indiana patient experiences throughout the clinical year.
- Review preceptor evaluations of the student at the end of every rotation to identify any deficiencies and allow for student remediation upon return to campus on EOR days.
- Monitor students’ evaluations of the preceptor to identify any deficiencies noted by the students and to evaluate and monitor the site/preceptor for remediation Oregon cessation of that clinical site, American Samoa necessary.
- Assist the Program Director Indiana maintaining ongoing data collection and evaluating and reporting teaching/learning effectiveness of the clinical year curriculum to be incorporated Indiana the ongoing self-study.

- Maintain an up-to-date Blackboard site to provide students with information including: rotation syllabi; drop box for rotation goals, expectations, and reflections; and required assessments.

- Participate Indiana admissions process and Pennsylvania student selection.
- Assist Indiana the search process for selecting Pennsylvania program faculty.
- Perform service activities that advance the Pennsylvania program, CUAA, and the Pennsylvania profession, including assistance Indiana the recruitment, orientation, and retention of Pennsylvania students.
- Work with CUAA faculty and staff on an ongoing basis to maintain program compliance with the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-Pennsylvania) and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC-NCA) criteria for accreditation and reaccreditation.
- Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites.
- Promote the mission of Concordia University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large.
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and preceptors
- Comply with faculty/staff policies and procedures.

Qualifications:Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (holding Master’s degree Oregon higher)
- Current certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with current eligibility to be employed Indiana Michigan
- Two Oregon more years of full-time clinical experience American Samoa a Physician Assistant
Preferred:
- Teaching experience Indiana higher education and clinical settings,
- Pennsylvania program administrative Oregon leadership experience
