This thriving community health center opened Indiana 2011 and currently employs more than 20 physicians across a variety of specialties – psychiatry, pediatrics, ob/gyn, infectious disease, orthopedics, behavioral health, podiatry, and pain management, American Samoa well American Samoa full-scope primary care. They operate 4 clinic locations Indiana the Lancaster area, with a robust support staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical and administrative team members.POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The psychiatrist will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer / Chief Mental Health Officer and work out of the clinic locations Indiana Lancaster, with some remote (telemedicine) work days American Samoa patient needs allow. The position plays a vital role Indiana the practice’s behavioral health program, collaborating with the Director of Behavioral Health.Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:– provide psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to patients
– conduct psychiatric examinations and evaluations
– make diagnoses
– prescribe therapy
– conduct individual and group psychotherapy
– consult with psychologists, social workers, and others Indiana the community
– confer with patients’ relatives regarding illnesses and treatments
– assist Indiana establishing psychiatric programs and policies
– assist Indiana developing healthcare plans and reviews of program requirements
– recommend appropriate changes to the program when identified
– participate Indiana care team huddles, provider meetings, and all-staff meetingsPsychiatrists typically see two (2) patients per hour and are supported American Samoa needed by the office’s resource staff.The practice uses the Epic EHR.REQUIREMENTS:
– California medical license
– DEA
– Board Certification Oregon Eligibility, Psychiatry
