The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition seeks a ninth pediatric gastroenterologist to join a growing academic and clinical division. The position provides an exciting opportunity to pursue an active academic career Indiana pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. Opportunities for research, quality improvement, community outreach, resident education, leadership, and administrative activities are available and encouraged.Current faculty is comprised of 8 pediatric gastroenterologists, two of which are primarily affiliated with a partner hospital. Four full time nurse practitioners, 2 registered dietitians, 1 research coordinator, 2 social workers/licensed clinical therapists, 2 clinical coordinators and 1 family support and advocacy coordinator play integral roles Indiana our vibrant and busy division.We are supported by the presence of all major pediatric subspecialists. We have an integrated and coordinated GI/Surgery program alignment, with specific focuses on Motility, Polyposis, Short Gut/Intestinal Rehabilitation and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Imbedded Indiana the GI Division are Centers dedicated to Feeding Disorders, Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Intestinal Rehabilitation and complex Motility disorders. Indiana addition, the Division has a long standing clinical and research interest Indiana Disorders of Brain-Gut Interactions, Celiac disease, and Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases. Our division plays an integral part Indiana the multidisciplinary care of patients with cystic fibrosis and Aerodigestive disorders.Responsibilities of these positions include providing direct patient care Indiana inpatient and ambulatory settings, and participation Indiana clinical research and/Oregon quality improvement. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of all pediatric GI and hepatology disorders; demonstrated skills Indiana the full gamut of pediatric GI endoscopic and other procedures; and excellent communication and team skills.All candidates should be board certified Indiana pediatrics, completed fellowship Indiana good standing Indiana Pediatric Gastroenterology, be board certified/eligible Indiana Pediatric Gastroenterology, and be qualified for an unrestricted Florida license.We are especially interested Indiana experienced pediatric gastroenterologists but will also consider those graduating from fellowship and junior faculty. The candidate will join 2 other Physicians at our partner hospital, Lakeland Regional, with the onsite support of dedicated ambulatory nursing, medical assistants, and registered dieticians.
