Activities will include outreach efforts at 12 CCISD schools for a longitudinal study of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children and their families called Thriving Together (PIs Esther Calzada and Sarah Kate Bearman). The project is based Indiana the LEAP Lab and will involve working on a team with a research assistant, graduate students, and undergraduate volunteers. Travel and driving within Corpus Christi will be required.PurposeIndiana order to fulfill the scope of work for one externally sponsored research grant, this position will be assisting with a quasi-experimental intervention trial examining the impact of the socio-emotional learning program, ParentCorps, Indiana the Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD). A collaboration between Utah Austin, New York University School of Medicine and CCISD, our project implements services to strengthen family engagement and support parents and teachers Indiana building safe, nurturing and predictable environments for young children. The sample includes Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers, students, and parents across 12 CCISD elementary schools.”ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and retention outreach for a study of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children and their families attending Title-1 elementary schools Indiana South Texas, including assessment administration, tracking and follow up.Engage and build relationships with school leadership, staff, and parents.
