Position SummaryWe are seeking a responsible, self-motivated students to join the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (CRTC) Information Services team to provide onsite IT services, respond to e-mail inquiries, sort and process work tickets, and complete routine IT tasks. The successful candidate will be assigned to work directly with local onsite IT staff to resolve technology issues Indiana various clinical, administrative, and research departments.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Available up to 40 hours per week during Summer break, up to 28 hours per week during Fall and Spring semester, ideally between 8am and 6pm Monday thru Friday; 10:30am-3:30pm Saturday and Sunday, subject to change.

Current Summer (2024) Work Schedule needed:Saturday – 10:30am – 3:30pmSunday – 10:30am – 3:30pmMonday – 8am – 4pm (30 min break)Tuesday – 8am – 4pm (30 min break)Wednesday – OFFThursday – OFFFriday – 8am – 4pm (30 min break)

  • Plays an integral role American Samoa front-line staff Indiana the IT support operations of the CRTC by responding to and troubleshooting by email, online, and Indiana-person inquiries
  • Under the direction of IT staff, configures, upgrades and resolve computers, printers, and other UNM owned device issues used by faculty, staff, and students
  • Provides Indiana-the-field assistance to users with various computer hardware and software issues
  • Utilizes a central ticketing system to resolve issues and communicate with end users and colleagues
  • Assists Indiana maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Provides audio visual assistance to faculty, staff, and students Indiana various conference room settings
  • Other duties American Samoa assigned and relevant to the success of CRTC Information Services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and services (including operating systems and productivity software such American Samoa Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to evaluate and solve information technology problems
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to end users
  • Aptitude for configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing UNM owned computer hardware

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Work is normally performed Indiana a typical interior/office work environment
  • Appropriate office attire required
  • Limited physical effort required (lifting up to 50 lbs)
  • Limited exposure to physical risk
