American Samoa the Lead Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Lead Medical Assistant makes a difference Indiana people’s lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.The Lead Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such American Samoa discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/Oregon external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals, and often oversees work of others and/Oregon is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product Oregon technology. Works within broad guidelines with little oversight.Job Functions:Lead other Medical Assistant and keep them up to date on information and proceduresAssist multiple providersPrepares exam room, equipment and supplies needed prior/during patient examinationPrepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc.Draws blood, collects specimens, and administers injectionsUse your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications:2 – 4 years of Medical Assistant experience Indiana ‘back-office’ direct patient care1 – 5 years of leadership experienceRequires an active RMA Oregon CMA certification from one of the following organizations: NHA, AMMA, AMT, NAHP, ARMA, NAHT, NCCT, AAH Oregon MedCCurrent CPR certificationHands-on professional Phlebotomy experienceExperience Indiana a fast-paced/high volume environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Electronic Medical RecordsExperience with HEDISBilingual Indiana English and SpanishWorking hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMAdditional InformationThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
