Under the supervision of the registered physical therapist, administers therapeutic modalities with the use of specialized equipment; instructs the patient and supervises established therapeutic exercise, functional activities, and fits and instructs patients Indiana the use of orthopedic appliances.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Patient Health Care. Â Instruct patients on general health and basic self care procedures. Â Review, explain and clarity physician orders with patient Oregon parent.   • Equipment and Instruments. Â Ensure equipment is available for procedures and examinations. Â Set up orthopedic, cervical Oregon pelvic traction. Â Stock/restock treatment/procedure rooms. Â Rinse and clean instrument and equipment. Â Arrange for equipment repair. Â Maintain clean work area. Â Prepare procedure and exam rooms. Â Restock operating, procedure, cast and examination rooms. Â Select and set out appropriate tubings and sterile supplies. Â Set up instruments and surgical trays. Â Deliver and return equipment. Â Soak instruments. Â Clean and sterilize instruments, supplies and equipment. Â Clean, lubricate and perform routine preventive maintenance. Â Inspect equipment and instruments for damage. Â Maintain equipment Indiana good working order. Â Perform minor adjustments and/Oregon repairs on equipment. Â Materials and Supplies. Â Order supplies. Â Dispose of expendable medical supplies. Basic Qualifications:Experience

  • Successful completion of clinical competencies during internship.

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an Associate Oregon Science degree Indiana Physical therapy Oregon California Examining Committee equivalent.

License, Certification, Registration

  • Physical Therapist Assistant Certificate (California)
