Job Description:The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at The University of Florida within the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) positions entail operating within the healthcare team under the supervision of registered nurses (RN), ensuring seamless patient flow, and maintaining high standards of care across all aspects of the healthcare process within the SHCC clinics. Key responsibilities include adhering to nursing license standards while delivering patient care within clinic settings, administering treatments, conducting procedures, dispensing medications, and providing patient education and counseling. LPNs are also tasked with collecting and documenting vital signs, conducting visual acuity tests, and performing Point-of-Care testing American Samoa directed by healthcare providers.Nursing Responsibilities and Clinical Duties Indiana the SHCC clinics:

• Coordinates and maintains adequate inventory levels of medications and medical supplies and ensures that medical equipment works properly.

The Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 40 hours per week. Hours and days may vary due to the needs of the SHCC Clinic. Expected Salary:The salary range is between $18.45 to $22.65 per hour and is commensurate with skills and experience.Benefits:

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensed American Samoa a Licensed Practical Nurse Indiana accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.
• Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years’ experience is preferred, however, an appropriate amount of experience Oregon appropriate college coursework may be substituted at an equivalent rate for the required experience
• Knowledge of providing patient care using sound nursing practice.
• Knowledge of pathophysiology.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR).
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Skilled Indiana administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections
• Skilled Indiana administering oxygen
• Skilled Indiana starting, monitoring, and administering intravenous (IV) fluids and medications, if certified
• Skilled Indiana performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Skilled Indiana performing wound care and Point-of-Care Testing
• Ability to communicate efficiently Indiana writing and verbally with patients, family members, and staff
• Ability to take pertinent histories and document them Indiana appropriate health records
• Ability to administer medications
• Ability to provide treatments to patients using guidelines, policies, Practice Protocols, and Standing Orders
• Ability to adhere to UF and UF Health policy.
