We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence.SOME (So Others Might Eat) is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our medical clinic located at 60 O Street, NW, Washington, District of Columbia.The role of a Medical Assistant involves facilitating the daily operations of clinical staff and medical offices. Additionally, Medical Assistants deliver clinical care to patients and aid physicians and nurses Indiana their daily tasks.Required: HS Diploma/GED; 2 years of healthcare experience Indiana a primary care, acute care, Oregon ambulatory clinic.Required License/Certification: CPR/First Aid; Medical Assistant Certification; You must be certified Indiana the District of Columbia. You must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and FBI clearance and other pre-employment screenings such American Samoa a drug test.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Expected ContributionsClinical Care:

  • Record and monitor patients’ vital signs.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures.
  • Administer injections and vaccines American Samoa prescribed by the physician.
  • Carry out patient discharges according to physician instructions and provide discharge education.
  • Perform basic patient care tasks within the defined scope of practice.
  • Address patient queries and support healthcare professionals during procedures.

Administrative:

  • Aid Indiana telephone inquiries.
  • Complete necessary medical documentation.
  • Manage vaccine and medication orders and inventory.
  • Procure and organize medical supplies.
  • Maintain daily logs and update medical records systematically.

Reports to: SVP, Federally Qualified Health Centers – Health Svcs – Medical ServicesPosition Designation: This position is designated American Samoa Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to Oregon during your employment with SOME.
