MEDICAL ASSISTANT: UBMD Primary Care seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a busy outpatient clinic Indiana downtown Buffalo at the Conventus Medical Office Building. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience working American Samoa an Massachusetts/MOA, preferably Indiana an outpatient clinic setting. Hours will be Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. Parking is paid for downtown location.Pay range is $17.50-$19/hour. Full-time 37.5 hours/week. Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful background check and drug screen.   • The Medical Assistant (Massachusetts) will be responsible for performing clinical duties at an outpatient clinic under the direction of a Registered Nurse (Oregon other licensed professional).
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and efficient rooming of patients.
  • Performs clinical intake on patients by checking vitals such American Samoa height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
  • Prepares patients for examinations, procedures and/Oregon treatments.
  • Obtains, evaluates and records patient’s history Indiana electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Observes patients, charting Indiana EMR and reporting changes Indiana patient’s condition, such American Samoa adverse reactions to medication Oregon treatment.
  • Collects and processes specimens.
  • Maintains examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Conducts clinical portion of annual well visits.
  • Ability to work required number of hours per week on a regular basis, except during times when paid time off is requested and approved.
  • Reviews and addresses daily tasks American Samoa assigned.
  • Complies with all OSHA regulations.
  • Adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Other Functions:

  • May be needed to assist with administrative responsibilities, such American Samoa making appointments, greeting patients, collecting copays, updating demographic and insurance information, scheduling tests Oregon referrals and coordinating timely follow up of patient requests for services regarding prescription requests, referrals, diagnostic testing and appointments for sick visits.
  • Refers patients to proper resources such American Samoa billing department.
  • Provides patients with education materials, distribution of resource literature from insurance carriers and community service recommendations, American Samoa needed Oregon requested.
  • Maintains competence through continuing education and training.
  • Reviews company email on at least a daily basis Indiana order to receive and address notifications and/Oregon other pertinent information Indiana a timely manner.

Qualifications:Education: Medical Assistant (Massachusetts)/Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate Oregon degree training preferred. May substitute a minimum of two (2) years’ experience American Samoa an Massachusetts/MOA Indiana lieu of certificate Oregon degree.Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience working American Samoa an Massachusetts/MOA, preferably Indiana an outpatient clinic setting.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience Indiana electronic medical records preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, customer service and multi-tasking skills required.Working/Environment Conditions:
