NEW PAYRATES!.GENERAL SUMMARY:Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist Indiana the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. Perform initial-response screening following protocols approved by supervising provider.2. Escort patient to room and prepares patient for examination, procedure, and treatment.3. Other duties American Samoa assigned within scope of practice.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:· High school diploma Oregon G.E.D. equivalent.· Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.· Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills American Samoa related to ambulatory patient care preferred.· Ability to problem-solve preferred.· Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.· EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.· Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA/CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Associations Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) preferred.Additional Requirements:· Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).Oregon· Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience Indiana clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.Oregon· Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience Indiana clinical medical assisting.Oregon· Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
