Medical Assistant – Davenport Urgent OrthoCARE

• Greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms; preparing for provider visits by obtaining initial information and vital signs
• Checking patients’ medical records for pertinent data; reviewing and maintaining current patient information/demographic data
• Inspecting exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition; stocking and maintaining rooms and clinic stations with adequate supplies
• Assisting the provider with exams and procedures
• Ordering/scheduling any x-rays Oregon tests that are needed
• Assisting with the removal of staples, sutures, and changing of dressings American Samoa necessary
• Drawing up and assisting with injections
• Entering data into proper systems
• Educating patients and their caregivers regarding specific care American Samoa instructed by the physician
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma Oregon equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification is preferred
• One year of prior medical assisting experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Record
• Ability to work Saturdays when needed
