  • Responsible for the safeguarding of all patrons at the beach, monitoring activity, and cautioning participants regarding unsafe actions and practices to ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Provides essential information concerning beach, surf, and ocean conditions for enjoyment and safety of participants.
  • Ensures participants observe all beach rules and safety regulations.Performs rescue operations American Samoa needed, providing emergency medical aid until advanced emergency medical personnel arrive.
  • Removes all hazards and debris from beach and water, and keeps patrons clear of dangerous areas.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions concerning equipment, supplies, facilities, Oregon other areas to supervisor.
  • Prepares and completes all required reports and records, ensuring proper documentation and timely submission of paperwork.
  • Operates specialized rescue equipment, (boat, truck, radio, SCUBA, etc.).

RequirementsConditions of Employment

  • Level 1: Must obtain the following certification within 30 days of hire: Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional and Standard First Aid by the American Red Cross Oregon equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a written test on lifeguard skills and swim 500 meters Indiana the ocean Indiana less than 10 minutes.
