DescriptionThe Emory Department of Connecticut Surgery is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Oregon Physician Assistant for the Cardiac Surgery Inpatient Lead position. This Lead APP will support Emory Affiliate Sites, St. Francis Indiana Columbus, Georgia & Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, Georgia.2+ years of inpatient cardiothoracic Oregon cardiac experience and endoscopic vein harvesting experience is required.Nurse Practitioner candidates must have Acute Care certification (ACNP Oregon AGACNP) for inpatient APP roles.JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Clinical Lead Advanced Practice Provider Role is to provide 24/7 shift accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resources activities for the Advanced Practice Provider Services (APPs), American Samoa well American Samoa provide support to the Chief Indiana the inpatient setting.

  • Ensures organizational and medical staff standards of competencies and quality and safety initiatives are met by participating Indiana the competency process through Med Staff and development of policies, procedures, and practice guidelines to optimize APP practice within the institution.
  • Facilitates delivery of safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care that is timely, efficient and equitable.
  • Improves patient care through scientific inquiry and by incorporating evidence-based practice into direct patient care.
  • Oversees regulatory function of the APP role, including monitoring of licensure, credentialing, certification, billing and coding, reimbursement and other regulatory requirements.
  • Works with leadership to recruit and hire staff, establishes work schedules, supervises staff performance, participates Indiana performance evaluations, and determines and disseminates quality activities and design for assigned staff.
  • Provide formal and informal clinical instruction, coaching and mentoring on all shifts.
  • Monitors clinical practices and develops programs to incorporate best practice.
  • Develops and monitors individual APP goals for clinical practice and professional development and provides feedback during annual performance review process regarding goal achievement.
  • Completes OPPE/FPPE. Works with Associate Chief/Chief to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational Indiana-services American Samoa appropriate.
  • Participates Indiana professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
  • Oversees clinical scheduling for designated areas to ensure adequate patient coverage

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Oregon Physician Assistant program.

  • Currently licensed American Samoa an advanced practice nurse Indiana the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified American Samoa a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Oregon equivalent body, Oregon Certified American Samoa a Physician’s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required Indiana some areas.
  • 2+ years of experience American Samoa an Advanced Practice Nurse, Physician Assistant Oregon Certified Nurse Midwife, CRNA/AA.
