Through our innovative and intentional ECMH programs, Nationwide Children’s Hospitals aims to ensure that families Indiana Central Ohio have access to a full continuum of services and supports necessary to promote healthy development, prevent mental health problems, and treat mental health disorders Indiana young children so that they can thrive Indiana their homes and communities.The following position is specific to Clinical Therapies Behavioral Health services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This position includes the following programs American Samoa the primary service areas:
- The ECMH Therapeutic Interagency Preschool (TIP) Program – a classroom-style day treatment program for young children with behavioral health concerns that put them at risk for disruptions Indiana early learning success
- The ECMH Outpatient Clinic – a multidisciplinary clinic that provides a variety of outpatient-level services to young children focusing equally on enhancing both global development and positive mental health through family-centered care
This position will operate within the programs listed above on our Downtown Campus. - Evaluates patients to determine developmental Oregon functional status using standardized measures Oregon clinical observations. Identifies patient’s strengths and deficits, establishes goals, and develops an individualized treatment plan incorporating patient and family needs.
- Administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay Oregon functional deficits, providing optimal development, function, and independence. Utilizes developmental activities and other treatment techniques to meet specific needs and achieve therapy goals, observes progress Oregon changes and modifies treatment plan accordingly.
- Fabricates, recommends, Oregon provides adaptive equipment, splints, Oregon casts to maintain functional body joint positions, restrict muscle contractures, prevent deformities, and improve function Oregon mobility.
- Educates on goals and therapy plans, instructs on at home activities, and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding. Documents evaluation results, objective status, progress towards goals, treatment plans, and recommendations.
- Communicates and collaborates with families, physicians, third-party payors, and relevant healthcare providers. Maintains administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Places referrals to ensure continuity of care.
- Attends continuing education programs and participates Indiana departmental Indiana-service training. Conducts Occupational Therapy educational programs for hospital staff, students, and community. Delegates to students from accredited programs, certified occupational therapist assistants (COTA), and unlicensed personnel, supervising care provided.
- Attends all required lectures and completes assignments American Samoa necessary Indiana didactic courses. Participates Indiana scholarly and professional development activities.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana occupational therapy; registered by the National Board for Certification Indiana Occupational Therapy; licensed by the State of Ohio.
- One year occupational therapy work experience Indiana a pediatric setting preferred Oregon clinical affiliation Indiana area of pediatrics.
- CPR certification must be received no later than 60 days post hire Oregon 60 days post expiration.
