Position Summary**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD**UNM Neurology is hiring for a student position to fill the role of Office Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a student employee to provide administrative support within the department. Responsibilities include a range of basic office activities, greeting and directing visitors, answering questions, performing routine clerical, data entry and/Oregon word processing work, & assisting with departmental projects and events; to make, receive, and route patient phone calls; communication with faculty to collect, maintain and ensure documentation is completed and signed, American Samoa well American Samoa, run various routine errands, American Samoa required for the clinic/department, American Samoa appropriate to the position. Indiana addition, there will be opportunity to perform miscellaneous entry-level IT support. We are looking for a team player with an enterprising attitude that is detailed-oriented, resourceful, displays initiative and follows through, and possesses strong organizational skills, communication skills, and computer skills.The selected student must exhibit a professional demeanor, have appropriate office etiquette, be organized and task-oriented, and must be responsible for completing assigned tasks, with accuracy, and meeting deadlines. This individual must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.Typical work hours will be M-F, between the hours of 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment. Must be able to work a minimum of 10-20 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications
Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Enrolled Indiana a degree seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count).Preferred Qualifications:
Skill Indiana the use of operating basic office equipment, including, use of copiers, and telephones.
Computer literate Indiana Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Word processing and data entry skills.
Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/Oregon other basic written material
Clear and effective oral and written communication
Ability to work both independently and American Samoa part of a team
Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electronic devises is a plus
