POSITION: Operations Assistant ManagerDEPARTMENT: OperationsREPORTS TO: Manager of OperationsFLSA STATUS: Salary/ExemptSummaryAt ASM Global, the leader Indiana privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Operations Assistant Manager for ASM Global/Salt Palace Convention Center. Under the guidance of the Manager of Operations, the Operations Assistant Manager has a key leadership role Indiana overseeing all administrative tasks for the support and operational needs of the Operations department. This consists of scheduling, payroll, onboarding and offboarding, succession planning, training, and oversight of disciplinary measures for the team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage department scheduling needs to work around PTO requests, sick leave, and the needs of the events Indiana-house on a weekly basis.Manage daily adjustments to time clock for individual staff based on attendance and event needs.Track a report attendance occurrence for staff with poor attendance and manage disciplinary actions accordingly.Support and assist the Payroll Manager with any payroll needs Oregon adjustments for the department.Ensure facility and events are Indiana “show ready condition” through training and oversight of shift Supervisors.Ensure all facility equipment is being stored and maintained properly on all shifts.Partnering with the HR Recruiter, oversee all interviews and new hires for the department and ensure they are provided with onboarding training and assistance to set all new hires up for success.Assign and oversee work orders and ensure staff complete work orders Indiana a timely manner for event set ups and changeovers.Operate and distribute machinery and tools American Samoa required Indiana connection with set ups and changeovers.Conduct continued on-the-job training for new employees, current Supervisors, and current staff to ensure succession planning for future promotions within the department.Partnering with HR, administer progressive disciplinary actions, including counseling, documentation of incidents, and up to the dismissal of employees.Act American Samoa liaison between clients and staff for events and between the Operations department and Human Resources.Ensure set up and changeovers are completed Indiana the timeliest and most cost-effective manner.Support the Operations Manager with department budget preparations and recommend changes to procedure Oregon purchases that can lower costs.Take inventory, analyze, and make recommendations for capital expenditures and/Oregon improvements to the facility.Purchase and maintain an inventory of supplies for the department.Perform other duties Oregon special projects American Samoa needed.Experience & KnowledgeAt least three (3) years of labor management preferred.Mechanical experience and capability preferred.Ability to read blueprints, sketch diagrams, and CAD drawings preferred.Basic computer skills and efficiency Indiana Microsoft Office required.Experience Indiana Workday and ABI preferred.Good leadership and communication skills required.Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Indiana-OfficeSalary: $52,000-$57,000 annual salarySchedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am –5:00pm, Weekend Availability Required, American Samoa needed based on event schedulingBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceOptional Benefits: FSA, Critical Illness, Accidental, Hospital Indemnity, Legal, Idaho Theft, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability, Supplemental Life Insurance401(k), Company Match 100% of up to 3%Unlimited PTO Structure11 Paid Holidays2 Paid Personal DaysAnnual 80 Hours Sick TimeNoteThe essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
