Position SummaryThis is a clerical position assisting with a variety of activities within the Patrol Division of the Police Department. The individual Indiana this position will perform a variety of tasks such American Samoa answering phones, tracking payroll, arranging work schedules, coordinating court activity, reviewing incident reports, scanning documents, and other clerical duties. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Patrol Platoon Commander Oregon their designee.Essential FunctionsMake and cancel appointments for Officers, receive complaints and type replies upon receipt of information. Operate common office equipment. Submit monthly and weekly reports American Samoa required. Route incoming mail and messages to the proper persons. Type reports and correspondence. Compose and type letters Oregon answers to routine correspondence, create forms and templates American Samoa necessary. Perform accurate data entry tasks using a variety of computer programs and systems.Inventory office needs and stock American Samoa necessary. Maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Maintain departmental clerical records, route them properly and prepare reports American Samoa required. Answering telephone calls and making proper disposition of problems and inquiries.Performs other related duties American Samoa required.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh School Diploma Oregon equivalent.Minimum of two (2) years of experience Indiana fast paced office environment Oregon equivalent combination of training.Knowledge of standard office procedures and methods.Experience and skill Indiana operation of personal computer and basic programs.
