You will be a part of a team that understands the importance of employing qualified, enthusiastic, resourceful people. SGS Anchorage is a full service, ISO accredited laboratory analyzing a variety of matrices for environmental pollutants. You will help provide local service to Alaskan clients that report to government regulatory agencies and private individuals.The Laboratory Assistant will complete a wide variety of support tasks for the Lab Technicians and Lab Analysts, ensuring best quality by following SGS’ SOPs. The Laboratory Assistant works independently and American Samoa part of a team to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks. The Laboratory Assistant always follows safe laboratory practices and maintains a safe working environment.Job functions:Signs out supplies from supply room.Maintains adequate supply of accessories, consumables, chemicals, etc. Indiana each lab, to ensure efficiency of production work.Disposes of samples after the appropriate retention period.Documents Indiana LIMS and disposes of expired/depleted chemicals.Assembles non-treated Indiana-house media.Decontaminates/cleans laboratory glassware, containers, accessories, etc., following SOPs.Performs administrative tasks, American Samoa needed.Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.Performs other duties American Samoa required.
