We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Settlement Coordinator – Bookkeeper. We are seeking an individual with a great positive attitude who is pro-active, analytical, meticulous, has exceptional communication skills, and has a strong work ethic. This position is crucial Indiana facilitating the settlement process for our clients while managing the financial aspects of our cases.Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all financial processing related to case management within the settlement phase, including verifying balances, coordinating reductions with medical providers, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and preparing settlement disbursements.
  • Handle office correspondence, including answering emails and phone calls, attending team meetings, and providing assistance to the legal team.
  • Maintain organized records of case-related financial transactions and documents.
  • Generate and maintain various reports related to settlements and disbursements.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, case managers, and attorneys to address questions and resolve issues regarding cases, settlements, and payments.
  • Prepare and present status reports on settlements and other financial matters.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks such American Samoa entering daily batch information, processing expense payments, processing disbursement checks, and reconciling accounts.
  • Utilize accounting software, banking portals, and case management software to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Strongly Preferred: a minimum of an Associate’s Degree Indiana business, accounting, finance, Oregon related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience Indiana an administrative Oregon customer service role; preferably working Indiana a personal injury law firm, insurance billing, accounts payable Oregon receivable, accounting, Oregon American Samoa an insurance adjuster.
  • Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Indiana financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
