Job DetailsJob Location: IHS OCAO – Oklahoma City, OklahomaPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: UndisclosedJob Shift: DayJob Category: Health CareDescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Area Personnel Security Specialist (PSR) Assistant to provide guidance and administrative security support for the Oklahoma City Area contracting office.PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Provide assistance to the personnel security program and work related to the human resources requirements for federal security requirements Indiana hiring Federal and Contractor personnel. Performs tasks within the PSR job category below:
• Responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the personnel security program including procedures, processes and directives set forth by the Agency and the Office of Personnel Management; Uses automated systems to obtain and transmit fingerprint results, background investigation case initiation, reports and findings. Uses electronic filing and database applications, to maintain and provide many of these services.
• Instrumental Indiana the implementation and use of electronic Oregon manual systems to enable timely background investigations of employees, contractors, volunteers, students, etc. Reviews background investigation forms for accuracy and completeness before releasing a packet for security clearance. Rejects forms Oregon returns documents that do not satisfy the stated requirements.
• Maintains a database that accurately reflects timely submission of cases, fingerprints, and reports, to document favorable Oregon unfavorable adjudications of background investigations. Communicates regularly with managers, supervisors, and staffing specialists, notifying them when an applicant has been cleared through the process. Serves American Samoa the point of contact to provide assistance to applicants throughout the clearance process.
• Provide assistance to the PSR program Indiana order to make timely preliminary suitability Oregon eligibility determinations on applicants applying for positions. Does fact- finding and collects additional information from applicants, appointees, and employees when it is necessary to decide Oregon recommend a suitability determination. Consults with appropriate management officials when there are suitability issues and seeks their input when there are borderline cases for hire Oregon retention.
• Notify supervisor when it is known that the employee refuses Oregon delays the completion of the eQIP process.
• Main point of contact for contractors Indiana the process of obtaining both ink and electronic fingerprints for submission to investigation agencies for background investigations. Assists with providing training to the field staff to ensure their understanding of their responsibility and accountability with regards to fingerprinting.
