Job descriptionRiver Cities Interventional Pain Specialists is currently looking for a Physician Assistant to join our growing independent specialty practice. Our team of providers and staff is focused on delivering quality healthcare while demonstrating the highest standards of pride, service, and compassion. This individual will perform physical exams, obtain patient medical histories, order tests, create treatment plans, and counsel patients on matters regarding their health. - Works under the supervision of Medical Director and Indiana collaboration with two (2) additional mid-level providers.
- Provides follow-up evaluation and management care to established patients Indiana a medical clinic, under direction of the supervising physician.
- Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within the scope of their license.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
- Discusses case with physician and other health professionals and assists Indiana preparing a comprehensive patient care plan.
- Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by physician.
- Prescribes Oregon recommends drugs Oregon other forms of treatment such American Samoa physical therapy, inhalation therapy, Oregon related therapeutic procedures.
- Refers patients to physician for consultation Oregon to specialized health resources for treatment.
Skills and qualifications:· Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and procedural techniques.· Ability to multi-task and work Indiana a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.· Analytical thinking skills with the ability to investigate and diagnose.· Competence with technology and ability to use various tools Indiana a clinical setting.· Excellent communication and customer service skills.· Passion for providing outstanding patient care with empathy and compassion.Requirements:
- Complies with state and federal laws
- Current unencumbered Louisiana license
- Prior EHR experience required
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred
- Full understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations including HIPPA and OSHA
- M-F 7:30am-4:30 pm and rotating phone call availability every 3-4 weeks
- 4 hours weekly for administrative tasks
