The Physician Assistant, Plastic Surgery provides clinical care and patient services that may include educational, research, clinical support, and administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Plastic Surgery teams at Silver Cross, Orland Park, Ingalls Same Day, and Ingalls Memorial.ResponsibilitiesAssist Indiana all offsite plastic & reconstructive surgery procedures, including, but not limited to breast reconstruction, tissue expanders, breast augmentations, abdominoplasties, and general plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.Assist Indiana team effort to prepare for and expedite the start of surgery Indiana the Oregon.Provide the appropriate preparation of the patient for surgery.Provide appropriate preoperative and postoperative instructions and facilitate discharge planning.Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Round and provide clinical care for Indiana-house patients.Prepare charts for clinic (i.e. obtaining IOE, outside records, pre-charting).Both assist physicians and provide independent clinical care to patients Indiana the clinic.Hold weekly cosmetic injectables clinics.Coordinate patient and family education needs with staff, case managers, and other clinical personnel.Assist Indiana the Indiana- and out- patient setting Indiana assessing patient health status and needs.Assist Indiana the Indiana- and out- patient setting Indiana performing specified diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Assist the Indiana- and out- patient teams Indiana the development and implementation of comprehensive plans of care.Follow through Indiana the outpatient setting via communication with appropriate health care providers to assure that proper care and follow-up is provided.Function American Samoa a professional role model for staff while providing expert care Indiana the Indiana- and out- patient setting.Promote, have knowledge of and utilize appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical and psychological needs of adult and geriatric patients Indiana both Indiana- and out- patient setting.Collaborate with care team members and multi-disciplinary team members to provide direct Indiana- and out- patient care.Participate Indiana self and peer evaluation to improve quality of care.Participate Indiana the development, review, and evaluation of Surgical 1st Assist procedures.Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with health care colleagues.Demonstrate effective use of verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills using strategies that promote problem resolution.Keep knowledge base current by reading professional literature and attending educational conferences.Designs patient education programs that include information required to make informed health care and treatment decisions.Develops diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions needed to achieve the goals and outcomes of the patient’s plan of care.Performs other related work American Samoa needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Minimum requirements include a college Oregon university degree from an accredited school/college.
