Physician Assistant – Surgery/Orthopedics

Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, located on 135th Street Indiana Manhattan, is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence Indiana the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Functions:

• Perform, under the responsibility and supervision of a physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend their services.
• Within the physician/physician assistant relationship, physician assistants may exercise autonomy Indiana decision making within the constraints of appropriate experience and training.
• Physician Assistant practice is centered on patient care and may include educational, research and administrative activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• Current NYS registration American Samoa a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification/admissibility issued by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
• Proven ability to work Indiana a team environment and ability to interact with patients and their families Indiana manner that instills confidence and facilitates communication.
