Location: Center of Hope, 1863 Capital Blvd. Raleigh, NC 27604Position Type: Part-timeAbout this opportunity:Assist the Project CATCH Program Coordinator with the new Early Childhood Initiative designed to increase identification and access to early care and education services for children ages 0-5 experiencing homelessness across the state of North Carolina. Assist with the overall administrative tasks including report writing and editing, survey creation and administration, data collection and analysis, attending outreach events across the state where possible, organizing materials for events and the project, attending conferences, call meetings, take minutes and assisting with conference presentations associated with the project and early childhood initiatives. Assist Project CATCH Program Coordinator with initiating and organizing family outreach events.Key responsibilities:
- Organizing and coordinating all material related to outreach events: flyers, surveys, gift card receipts and attendance spreadsheets, table clothes, event raffle tickets and donated items.
- Attend events and assist with set up and coordination of materials.
- Track and organize attendance spreadsheets and attendance records for presentations and outreach events.
- Take meeting minutes for all conference calls and meetings and provide updates to staff.
- Assist with volunteers at events, when necessary.
What we are looking for in you:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Child Development, Human Services or related field with two years of experience working with low income children and families.
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, and analyzing data
- Strong writing and editing skills for report writing
- Ability to track materials related to project for events across the state.
- Ability to analyze data and reports
- Ability to produce reports with graphs to present data collection result
- Ability to work with the public, communicate effectively with community partners and develop collaborative community partnerships.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to work and meet deadlines with limited supervision.Ability to type and keypunch information into a computer.Ability to operate various general office equipment.WORKING CONDITIONS:Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Lifting may be required when setting up for events.Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (up to 25 pounds.) occasionally.Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Work may require driving a vehicle on occasion with exposure to outdoor temperatures and heavy traffic.Employee Benefits
