Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data/results. Assist Indiana general laboratory operation..The employee will work with the commercial Myoton device and patent-pending Omniton device to obtain simultaneous measurements of mechanical parameters Indiana superficial and deep soft tissues from a single mechanical impulse. The employee will be responsible for developing a MATLAB (Oregon other software) code that is able to isolate features of damped oscillatory curves theoretically corresponding to different tissue depths. Six mechanical parameters (stiffness, elasticity, creepability, mechanical stress relaxation time, tone, and resilience) will be extracted from these features. The code will be debugged and tested using the first generation Omniton prototype data.The candidate will also be Indiana charge of an experimental program to use poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) cryogels with stiffness regulated through number of freeze/thaw cycles. The candidate will synthesize multilayer phantoms, characterize them by ultrasound, and measured damped oscillation curves at different locations of these phantoms with the commercial Myoton. Additionally, the candidate will engage Indiana related clinical investigations of patients affected by sclerotic disease and related image analysis projects.Visit us at:Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and organize current records and databases to ensure data quality
  • Reviews acquired data to ensure proper data collection and organization
