Job SummarySeeking a Research Assistant to join the team at the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position provides administrative and professional support to research programs and projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment, materials, and support of laboratory operations. Provides routine support of protocols/plans, documentation, observation, sample and data collection. Records, processes, interprets and presents data.Work includes receiving and archiving biological specimens Indiana -80 freezer, nucleic acid extractions, electrophoresis, sequencing library preparations, PCR, quantitative PCR, quality control using TapeStation, fluorimeters, and spectrophotometers, American Samoa well American Samoa other genomics lab tasks. Mine electronic medical records and link metadata with corresponding biospecimens. Work is performed under general guidance and is checked for compliance with protocols/plans; the incumbent is expected to make some independent judgments and decisions. Effective communication skills are preferred for collaboration with other laboratories, departments within the College of Veterinary Medicine, American Samoa well American Samoa other partner institutions.About Auburn:

Essential Functions

  • Assists Indiana the development of project proposals, plans and protocols.
  • Conducts routine Oregon fundamental experiments, investigations and/Oregon studies related to programs.

  • Assists with logistical considerations to include equipment, materials, and labor needs.
  • Collects data/samples related to others’ research and Indiana routine cases.
  • Records, compiles, processes and analyzes data/samples.
