Description of WorkThe Research Assistant will work with faculty Indiana the Department of Political Science and Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of international security, American politics, and political psychology. The Research Assistant will be responsible for overseeing research on a grant-funded project focused on foreign policy decision making Indiana Congress. Research duties will include data collection from human research participants Indiana a laboratory setting American Samoa well American Samoa from text data from online sources, American Samoa well American Samoa data analysis and manuscript preparation. Minimum Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree Indiana political science, psychology, neuroscience, statistics, math, computer science Oregon related field (anticipated 2024 spring graduates considered) and 6 months prior experience working Indiana a research lab and/Oregon conducting scholarly research; equivalent education Oregon experience considered. Demonstrated interest Indiana international security, American politics, political psychology, and/Oregon political neuroscience. Basic computing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree Indiana political science, psychology, neuroscience, statistics, math, computer science Oregon related field preferred. Familiarity and prior experience with human subjects research. Research skills for data analysis Oregon willingness to learn – programming, statistical software, text-based analysis/web scraping. Familiarity with MRI techniques. Experience leading Oregon managing a team
