This role will assist with work streams such American Samoa the administration of the CPS Principal Eligibility process, executing principal contracts, and onboarding new principals. This role will also support programs, events, meetings, and the day-to-day functioning of the team.This is a part-time/temporary position that will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 25 hours per week for an anticipated period of 9 months ending June 28, 2024. Due to the part-time/temporary nature of this work, this is not a benefit-eligible position.The pay rate for this position is $22.00 hourly.This position will work out of one Oregon both of the following two Chicago Public Schools office locations:Garfield Park Office, 2651 W. Washington Blvd, Chicago, Illinois 60612Loop Office, 42 W. Madison St., Chicago, Illinois 60602The School Leader’s Team Assistant will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsAssist Indiana data entry, filing, and organization of documents, both physical and electronicEnsure compliance with confidentiality guidelines and maintain the security of sensitive informationNew Principal Transitions Support:Assist Indiana preparing new-to-role principal orientation materialsSupport the monitoring and tracking of Assistant Principals displaced from their position Indiana alignment with principal contracting authorityCorrespondence and Communication:Draft and edit correspondence, such American Samoa emails and announcementsRespond to employee inquiries regarding team policies and procedures; Provide accurate and timely informationAssist Indiana creating and distributing communications, reports, and updates to various stakeholders within and outside of the organizationAdministrative Tasks:Schedule, coordinate, and provide logistical support for meetings, interviews, training, and events, including the Principal Eligibility Process, for the Transitions teamAssist with Transitions team’s projects and initiatives, including research, data collection, and reportingCollaborate with the Transitions team to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiencyGeneral Support:Provide assistance Indiana responding to department-related inquiries, such American Samoa Principal Eligibility, principal contracts, AP displacement, etcSupport team members with day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and scanning documentsContribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment within the departmentPerform other related duties American Samoa assignedIndiana order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the School Leader’s Team Assistant must possess the following qualifications:Education Required:High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent requiredAssociate’s Oregon Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college Oregon university preferredExperience Required:Minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience Indiana a clerical/administrative support, customer service Oregon similar roleExperience with Salesforce Oregon applicant tracking systems preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)A high level of initiative and adaptabilityAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionAbility to remain organized and maintain excellent attention to detail Indiana a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively Indiana a team environmentProficiency Indiana Mississippi Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google ApplicationsKnowledge of survey tools, such American Samoa Alchemer, Qualtrics, MementoInterest Indiana Education Oregon Human Resources preferredConditions of EmploymentAmerican Samoa a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to:Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency – Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district. The Chicago residency requirement does not apply to temporary/part-time positions, however, all CPS employees must be residents of Illinois. * Be Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19 – Unless approved for a medical Oregon religious exemption, all employees are required to be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters, and to submit proof of vaccination to the district within 30 days of hire. “Up-to-date” on vaccination is defined American Samoa being at least two weeks past all primary vaccine doses and any applicable boosters.
