  • Provide support to the department chair, faculty, and professional staff; schedule meetings on department chair’s calendar, arrange department and discipline meetings. Record meeting minutes.
  • Input reports and outcomes assessment information for students enrolled Indiana speech therapy into database. Input data on satisfaction evaluations for Audiology clients; summarize data and comments at end of each semester.
  • Coordinate Spoken Communication Techniques and Strategies workshops that are required for NTID tenure track faculty. Prepare evaluation forms, attendance sign-ins, request interpreters, summarize feedback, prepare and mail attendance certificates to participants, and send thank you letters to presenters.
  • Responsible for national audiology extern and speech intern search – screen resumes, schedule interviews, maintain database of colleges that have audiology and speech programs. Ensure paperwork, parking, computer and room access is completed.
  • Assign students for speech-language instruction. This includes maintaining speech-language clinical records to include student sign-ups, instructor assignments, referrals from Counseling and Academic Advising Services, track end of year peer reviews, and file purging and destruction of old records.
  • Event coordinator.
  • Provide all aspects of events logistics – reserving space, catering, guest speakers, handling accommodation requests, audio/visual needs, producing nametags, RSVPs, keep track of budget, and enroll and manage payments when participants register.
  • Provide support for department events i.e. RIT Faculty/Staff Benefit’s Fair, Department Retreat, NTID Apple Fest.
