Chantell Evans and Gustavo Silva. Dr. Evans directs a nascent postdoctoral community-building program, and Dr. Silva is the director of the BlackThinkTank ( ). Highly qualified candidates will provide top-notch administrative support, foster a welcoming environment, and apply knowledge and skills to resolve organizational problems of different complexities independently Oregon with others. Candidates should have an eye for detail, provide excellent customer service, and be proactive Indiana their support style. The position offers flexibility to work remotely except when programmatic activities require Indiana-person logistic support. The successful candidate will report directly to Drs. Evans and Silva.Responsibilities:

  • 20% Provide administrative support to Drs. Evans and Silva by serving American Samoa primary contact for administrative requests.
  • 12.5% Assist with correspondence, manage calendars, and coordinate meeting schedules, including internal and external meetings, conferences, and professional engagements.
  • 5 % Coordinate travel (domestic and international) and prepare detailed itineraries, including travel and lodging arrangements, reservations, and registration. Following travel, prepare, process, and track reimbursements and reports for the research team.
  • 5% Organize lab meetings, faculty-led seminars, and lab outings.
  • 5% Assist with correspondence management, presentation development, and be a resource for reviewing and proofreading documents from draft form. Coordinate letters of recommendation.
  • 5% Coordinate visiting faculty/candidate itinerary, reimbursement, and vendors. Lead the resolution of inquiries and issues with vendors, department, and administrators.
  • 5% Support administrative aspect of hiring and team management: Manage posting of job ads, academic appointment issues, visa requests, coordinate and guide new employees through HR procedures, and provide administrative onboarding and general orientation.
  • 5% Grant support: Manage application and report deadlines, coordinate documents and requests among collaborators and investigators, and mediate grant requirements with grants specialists.
  • 12.5% Program and event planning: Support the organization of programmatic events, including securing catering company, venue, communication, speakers, and coordination of run-of-show.
  • 20% Communication: Update websites, support electronic communication from different programs (emails, newsletters, social media), printing materials, and advertising.
