Salary is commensurate with experience, plus the State of Florida employee retirement and insurance options, attorney benefits, paid holidays, and paid leave.Job Description:The State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida is responsible for the prosecution of all crimes committed Indiana Orange and Osceola counties. We are seeking Assistant State Attorneys, that have good judgment and share the office’s mission to keep people safe by prosecuting those who disrupt our community and to ensure the pursuit of justice is done Indiana a transparent, fair, and thoughtful way that maintains the trust of those we serve.Applicants must have a strong interest Indiana courtroom litigation, with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.Employment will require professional interaction with the public, law enforcement staff and office staff.   • Assists Indiana the conduct of jury trials, preliminary and pretrial hearings, and related courtroom proceedings.
  • Investigates, evaluates and prepares cases for trial.
  • Conducts case research and documentation.

  • Manages caseload.
  • Coordinates with community partners and the public to support and promote criminal justice efforts and crime prevention initiatives.
  • Professional interaction with the public, law enforcement, and office staff.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and Indiana high stress and/Oregon high anxiety-causing situations, both Indiana and outside of the courtroom.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree required

  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
