Job title: Student Services Assistant Position
Location: 4300 Sisk Road Modesto, CA 95356
Terms: Full-time | Monday through Thursday
7:00am to 5:20pm
Salary/rate: Hourly $18.00 to $25.00 DOE

About the role:
Stellar Career College is seeking a passionate and experienced administrative professional to join our dynamic front office team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Responsibilities:

  • Main receptionist and manager of administration office.
  • Executive Assistant to college leadership.
  • Properly screen and direct calls whether they are prospective students, clinical sites, partners, vendors, employees, or active students.
  • Oversee the registration process, ensuring that students meet admission’s requirements.
  • Manage student information systems and databases to track enrollment, graduation, and other important milestones.
  • Administering all necessary entrance tests.
  • Provide support and guidance to students including college and community resources, retention visits, and academic support
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and staff seeking information on student-related issues.
  • Maintain regular inventory of all office supplies. Prepare all orders for materials and supplies once a week.
  • Prepare binders and materials for new students
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate student activities, events, and programs to foster campus community and student engagement.
  • Attend career and high school fairs/events as needed
  • Prepare course catalogs as needed
  • Prepare all student information and forms for files to be made.
  • Record and distribute minutes from weekly staff meetings
  • Assist students in their application for financial assistance to attend. Specific tasks may include performing qualifying interviews, assistance in the completion of the FASFA, advising students of the availability of FASFA on the web, and manages the student’s hard copy FA file for completeness and accuracy.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Candidate requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or three years’ experience working in a complex administrative role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine passion for educating and mentoring students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
