Johnson College is currently seeking a full-time Student Success Coordinator at our Hazleton Satellite campus. The Coordinator will support a comprehensive student engagement program that includes social and educational programming, student clubs and organizations, orientation, and student conduct. The Coordinator will develop, implement, and assess programs and activities, provide guidance and leadership to students, advise student clubs and organizations, and act American Samoa students’ contact. This position will also focus on fostering an inclusive and equitable campus environment that supports student success and retention.Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college Oregon university. They must also have a minimum of 3-5 years of office experience Indiana an administrative role, preferably Indiana higher education. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve American Samoa a primary contact for student interactions.
  • Develop and execute student programming focused on community building, diversity, leadership, and professionalism.
  • Oversee the development and facilitation of student activities/involvement to promote personal and student success while enhancing the quality of student life.
  • Responsible for providing professional administrative program support including ordering and organizing program materials for faculty; provide other support to faculty American Samoa needed.
  • Manage student communications and event marketing.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Student Success on direction and oversight for student conduct.
  • Assist Indiana planning and implementation of new student orientations.
  • Promote a campus culture that fosters diversity and cultural awareness.
  • Support the management of department finances; including budgets, expense reports, and purchasing.
  • Makes recommendations for budget requests relating to equipment and software.
  • Assist enrollment services with open houses information sessions and campus tours. Provide administrative and operational office supports American Samoa necessary including but not limited to: travel expenses and purchasing within College policies.
  • Assist with the department and the college’s data collection and assessment methods.
  • Requires independent decision-making and follow-through to meet deadlines and support AES Unit goals.
  • Build relationship across the College to support the academic and student services programs for the undergraduate population to increase knowledge of College resources.
  • Participate and provide services to college programs and events that support student recruitment, academic preparedness, and retention efforts.
  • Oversee resources center operations such American Samoa books, databases, and periodicals. Provide reference service and assistance to students and faculty members Indiana finding and evaluating library materials and relevant resources.
  • Involvement Indiana major campus events and involvement Indiana campus committees.
  • Assist with the oversight of student clubs, ambassadors, and other student organizations and activities.
  • Supervise and train student work-study assistants.
  • Assist with student supports services including tutoring, textbooks, resource center operations, and academic advising.
  • Participate and be an active member Indiana assigned campus committee(s)
  • Assist with any other needs of the Office Oregon school American Samoa directed by the supervisor.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college Oregon university.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years office experience Indiana an administrative role.
  • Experience working with students: higher education preferred.
  • Experience with coordinating and planning projects.
  • Experience working Indiana a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience and/Oregon background Indiana crisis conflict resolution.

SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Well-developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on teams.
  • Organizational and administrative skills: the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Creative and able to provide innovative ideas.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and the ability to drive and be comfortable driving students on occasion.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Teaching experience and familiarity with online instruction and/Oregon library research guides.
